The general conclusions of these studies are that ximelagatran will not be inferior to standard therapy for that acute therapy of DVT and is particularly excellent to placebo for prolonged secondary prevention of recurrent DVT and/or PE.Precaution regarding the threat of hepatotoxicity need to be further more investigated rather than discourage the
